The LBS Professional MBA programme will now be known as Modular MBA

Lagos Business School (LBS) has announced that its newly launched Professional MBA programme will now be called the Modular MBA Programme.

Launched in April 2019, the two-year Modular MBA is a blended business management programme with online and classroom content which features separate elective tracks for entrepreneurship, technology, or general management.

The MMBA is designed to equip participants with a thorough knowledge of main business disciplines, analytical competencies and problem-solving capabilities. The fully customisable programme will position young professionals to deliver transformational impact on their organisations and careers.

While the components of the programme remain the same, the new title emphasizes the programme’s unique combination of online and on-site delivery methods. It is also in line with LBS’ strategy to develop programmes that meet industry needs and align with world standards.

Addressing the title change, LBS MBA Director, Dr Uchenna Uzo said, “At Lagos Business School, we continuously seek to offer programmes that are in-line with international standards and global best practices. Following the recent visit and discussion with our international partner, the Association of MBAs (AMBA), we decided to change the name of the Professional MBA to Modular MBA. The name change was done to reflect our intention to keep our programmes relevant globally and understandable to our prospective students across different countries.

The name change does not affect the newly launched MBA programme in any way. The admissions requirement and process, tuition, course content, curriculum, mode of delivery and programme duration remain the same. We believe that this is a step in the right direction and enjoin young professionals who are seeking a very flexible MBA programme that allows them to combine studies with their work to apply for this programme.”

Applications for the Modular MBA commenced in April and will close in November 2019, as the School continues to prepare to receive the first set of candidates in January 2020.
