SMP 54 Begins

Lagos Business School has flagged off the 54th edition of the Senior Management Programme (SMP 54) in keeping with its tradition of positively impacting the practice of management in organisations.

This edition of the programme commenced recently with participants drawn from banking, insurance, ICT as well as oil and gas, among others.

Participants were taken on a guided tour of LBS to familiarise them with the School’s facilities after their introductory class. They networked and shared their expectations as first-timers or returning participants in the School’s programmes during the welcome cocktail that followed.

Katesam Onwutuebe, a Relationship Manager with Fidelity Bank, was recommended for the programme by her organisation to equip her with the managerial skills to succeed at her job. “I expect that after the programme, my managerial/leadership abilities will be enhanced and I’ll make positive contributions to my organisation and environment,” she said.

“It’s fascinating that a school of this standard is sited here in Lagos,” said Olapeju Oluwajana, Head, Risk Management at FirstBank, who could not contain her elation after viewing LBS’ world-class facilities. “I think more people need to key into this opportunity because as far as I’m concerned, LBS is comparable to reputable schools abroad.”

The SMP is a 4-month executive programme which builds the personal skills of participants to enable them achieve an immediate and measurable improvement in their contribution to their organisations.
