SMP 53 Wins Global Business Strategy Game

Participants in Lagos Business School’s Senior Management Programme (SMP 53) have won the global Business Strategy Games (BSG) yet again.

This is the third time a team from LBS will be winning the virtual game, in which participants are assigned to run an athletic footwear company and compete against companies managed by other class members.  The teams design and execute a competitive strategy for their respective firms, aimed at producing good financial performance in Earnings per Share, Return on Investment, Stock Price Appreciation and Credit Rating.

SMP 53 participants in Bolt Incorporated (Company B) and Diamond Footwear (Company D) earned a Global Top 50 ranking with an overall score of 10.9 percent.

“Congratulations to you and your students…for using BSG in your class,” said the BSG author team comprising Art Thompson, Greg Stappenbeck and Mark Reidenbach.

In June, the School’s OMP 18 participants achieved a similar feat, earning a Global Top 100 ranking with an overall score of 110.0.

Every Monday, the BSG Author Team compiles lists of the prior week’s best-performing companies worldwide based on Overall Score (current year), Earnings Per Share, Return On Average Equity and Stock Price.
