Second Modular SMP Ends

The curtains were Friday drawn on the second modular run of the Senior Management Programme 51 (SMP 51) when Lagos Business School treated outgoing participants to a farewell cocktail.

Amidst a convivial atmosphere, they shared fond memories of the programme aimed at building their management skills and strategic thinking capabilities, making their organisations or businesses more effective.

“It was very insightful. To a large extent, my management skills have been sharpened,” said an enthused Hycenth Aneke, president of the class. “I speak for the entire SMP 51 when I say we will take a lot from LBS – especially ethics and sustainability.”

Martin Akhimien, another member of the class, was visibly excited when he said: “Personally, I’m taking away a lot from this programme which I will apply to my daily interactions with people. For me, everybody is worthy of respect and appreciation no matter their status or position in life.”

Thelma Opara, the programme manager, said with participants drawn from all walks of life across the country, SMP 51 would be missed. “It was an amazing class and we’re sure they’ll impact the real world with all that they’ve been taught,” she said.
