LBS faculty and strategy expert, Dr Chris Ogbechie, has been appointed a council member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN). He is in the Research, Strategy & Advocacy (RSA) Committee of the new Governing Council inaugurated on Friday, 18 July 2014.
The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) is the umbrella professional body for bankers in Nigeria which aims to enthrone professional excellence in the nation’s banking industry.
Ogbechie, who was an associate member of the Institute (ACIB) for many years, has a first-class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manchester University, an MBA from Manchester Business School and a PhD in Business Administration from Brunel Business School in the UK.
He has wide experience in marketing, strategy and corporate governance derived from his work as Head of Marketing/Sales at Nestle Nigeria and consulting work with Nigerian, Ghanaian and Kenyan firms over the years.
Ogbechie teaches strategy and corporate governance at Lagos business School.
