In order for any organisation to perform excellently, there is need for a strong and capable Human Resource (HR) Management team.
Lagos Business School (LBS), recognises the inherent importance of HR, and hosted an HR Forum on Thursday, December 1, 2016. 110 participants attended the forum; 46 were Heads of HR and the remaining 31 were HR Managers.
The keynote speaker, Dr Franca Ovadje, Faculty, Lagos Business School, spoke on the topic “Employee Engagement and Productivity in a Recession”. In her keynote address, Dr Ovadje, outlined various ways in which HR can think outside the box to engage employees and generate trust within their organisations. She also challenged HR managers present, not to accept the status quo but to be prepared, if need be to reinvent the engagement culture within their organisation. She further encouraged them to increase their skill sets to meet the challenges ahead, because certain things cannot be done without the right training and required skills.
The forum came to an end with a networking session.
