LBS Holds Leadership Programme for Lafarge

A leadership programme specially customised for senior executives of Lafarge Cement Company Limited is ongoing at Lagos Business School.

The four-day course, tagged ‘High-Impact Leadership Programme’ is aimed at examining leadership opportunities and new skill sets that will help participants excel in their managerial roles.

This batch – the last for the year – comprises 11 participants who have had impactful lectures, case studies and practice exercises in the run-up to the conclusion of the programme tomorrow.

“Participants already have the technical know-how of leadership, but we want them to be well grounded so they will run their organisations as business units and make the right financial and operational decisions,” explained Programme Manager, Dupe-Akin Olaitan.

Olaitan projected that the customised programme would be more robust and integrated going forward, considering the merger of Lafarge with Swiss cement company, Holcim. She said, “We’re hoping the horizon will widen and we’ll be able to do more. With the merger, we’ll be looking at other skill areas that will be beneficial to Lafarge.”

LBS offers personalised, high-impact solutions in various aspects of management. Its programmes are designed to transform minds, influence people and create knowledgeable leaders who will in turn transform their organisations. Such programmes are a unique blend of scholarly research, practical approaches and experiential learning.
