LBS alumnus, Taopheek Babayeju becomes one of eight Nigerians to earn global PfMP certification

An alumnus of Lagos Business School’s Modular Executive MBA (MEMBA 5), Taopheek Babayeju has earned the global PMI Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) certification, making him one of the eight Nigerians ever to achieve this feat.

The Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) is the highest-ranked project management certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI). It signifies advanced competency in the coordinated management of one or more portfolios to achieve strategic objectives.

Babayeju joined the elite group of about 800 portfolio management professionals across the world. The CEO/Lead Consultant at iCentra Consulting became the seventh Nigerian to gain the certification, the eighth being a member of Babayeju’s team at iCentra.

With over 20 years of experience in project management, technology and business consulting, Babayeju has consulted for top organisations and led several high impact projects. His portfolio includes Engagement Director – Information Security Management System – ISO 27001 at Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS); Project Director – Set-Up of Enterprise Programme Management Office at Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG); Engagement Lead – Establishment of Enterprise Programme Management function in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and many others.

Apart from the LBS MBA, Babayeju belongs to several professional bodies. He was Vice President of the Nigerian chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI), and is President of the LeadPreneur Network. He is the convener of Nigeria’s premiere National Project Management Conference – ProMaCon and has received several awards and recognition including PMI’s award for the Most Outstanding Contribution to Project Management in Nigeria.

Lagos Business School’s Modular Executive MBA was recently ranked number one in Africa by The Economist magazine.
