LBS Alumni Head Custodian Group, First Bank

 Two illustrious alumni of Lagos Business School have taken the helm at Custodian and Allied Group and First Bank of Nigeria Limited, respectively.

Wole Oshin (CEP 9), President of the LBS Alumni Association (LBSAA), was appointed the Group Managing Director, Custodian and Allied Group plc at the company’s recent board meeting in Lagos; while Bunmi Awosika (CEP 9) emerged Chairperson, First Bank of Nigeria (FBN) Limited.  Both alumni participated in the ninth run of LBS’ Chief Executive Programme (CEP 9).

Oshin was, until his recent appointment, the Managing Director of CAIL, the General Insurance business subsidiary and a non-Executive Director of Custodian and Allied plc. As GMD, he is expected to open up new frontiers for the Group, leveraging his experience and the goodwill he generates.

With her appointment as chairperson, Awosika has emerged the first female to hold this pivotal position at FBN Holdings plc. To reinforce her leadership expertise, she is also the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Women in Management and Business (WIMBIZ), and sits on the board of several Nigerian companies, including Cadbury Nigeria plc.
