Lagos Business School (LBS) has joined the list of leading institutions to partner with Arizona State University, for its prestigious International Accelerated Degree Programme (IADP).
Known as the LBS-ASU International Accelerated Degree Programme, the IADP is a collaborative education programme that allows LBS MBA candidates to earn a Masters degree in selected courses at W.P Carey School of Business, the business school of ASU in the United States of America.
LBS MBA candidates who have successfully completed the first year of their degree will be eligible to apply for the one-year programme. The specialised courses available on the programme are MS-Business Analytics (MS-BA), MS-Finance (MS-Fin), MS-Global Logistics (MS-GL), MS-Information Management (MS-IM) or any other programme approved by ASU and LBS.
Speaking on the partnership, MBA Director at Lagos Business School, Dr Uchenna Uzo said, “We are glad to have ASU join our growing list of partner institutions. This new agreement further enhances the sprawling opportunities available to our MBA students and graduates as it opens them up to a global network of professional and personal contacts”.
Besides being an accelerated programme, some of the benefits accrued to MBA graduates who choose the IADP are a waiver for GRE/GMAT requirements, reduced to earn a Masters degree, only one application fee for all phases of the programme and extra student support.
Under the provisions of the LBS-ASU partnership, other benefits include opportunities for exchange of research and faculty staff, sabbaticals and seminars for academic staff, joint professional and academic events, and joint research and graduate programmes.
Lagos Business School currently has partnerships with institutions such as IESE Business School, Spain; Strathmore Business School, Kenya and Nanyang Business School, Singapore. Others include IPADE Business School, Mexico; India Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA), India and The Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town, South Africa. These partnerships are to facilitate the school’s mission of developing globally responsible and locally relevant leaders for Africa and the world.
