Lagos Business School alumnus appointed MD/CEO at Neimeth Pharmaceuticals

Lagos Business School alumnus, Matthew Azoji of the Advanced Management Programme (AMP 15) has been appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of leading pharmaceutical company, Neimeth.
Azoji who has over 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry is tasked with driving the activities of the company towards a productive future.

Before this appointment, Azoji was the pioneer Managing Director/CEO at CHAN Medi-Pharm Ltd/Gte, Jos. He also led the executive and management teams of Biovaccines Nigeria Ltd., a public-private partnership company between the Federal Government of Nigeria and May & Baker Nigeria Ltd.

He earned a certificate in Pharmaceutical Policy and Pharmacoeconomics from Utrecht University in the Netherlands and bagged an M.Sc. in Public health from the University of London, International Programmes. These are in addition to his B. Pharm (First Class Honours) and M.Phil (Pharmacy Administration) degrees from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

Azoji has served on the Boards of Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network (EPN) and Africa Christian Health Associations Platform (ACHAP) both in Nairobi, Kenya, where he contributed to improving access to quality pharmaceutical and other health services to people in Africa and the rest of the world.

The AMP is designed to help experienced senior managers refine their management and leadership skills as they advance in their career, and is one of Lagos Business School’s flagship management programmes.
