Lagos Business School alumnus, Adewale Adeyipo appointed CEO at CWG

An alumnus of Lagos Business School (LBS), Adewale Adeyipo has been confirmed to take the lead as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at leading Pan-African Information Communications Technology, Computer Warehouse Group (CWG) Plc.

Adeyipo, an alumnus of the Senior Management Programme (SMP 57), was appointed to take the role of Acting MD/CEO in December 2018 but has now been confirmed to continue in a substantive capacity.

Before this appointment, Adeyipo held other leadership positions in CWG including Business Sector Director, Telecommunication in 2010 and Business Director, PAN Africa Initiatives in 2014. He also functioned as VP, Sales and Marketing where he managed all Sales, Marketing and Product Management responsibilities.

A graduate of Computer Science from the University of Ilorin, Adeyipo holds several degrees from other business schools including the Business School, Netherlands and London Business School.

Adeyipo is the co-convener of the New National Initiative ‘Train a Child’ and also serves as a Facilitator at the CWG Academy for young technology-savvy individuals.

The Senior Management Programme (SMP) is one of LBS’ flagship programmes launched in 1993 to help senior executives stay grounded in the main management disciplines as well as improve on their strategic thinking skills.
