Lagos Business School alumnus Mr Yusuf Kazaure (AMP 23) has been appointed the Managing Director/CEO, Galaxy Backbone Limited by President Goodluck Jonathan.
Galaxy Backbone is a government-owned ICT services provider which aims to establish economies of scale, enhance interoperability of systems and improve the government’s capacity to deliver electronic services.
Yusuf’s appointment will be effective from Friday, 5 September 2014. He holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), an M.Sc in Architecture and a Diploma in Computing from Bayero University, Ahmadu Bello University and Oxford University respectively. His experience spans 25 years in sectors cutting across Construction, Banking, Government and Information Technology.
In his congratulatory message to Kazaure, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, is said to have urged him to make a mark on the ICT Company as he takes over from the pioneer MD/CE, Mr Gerald Ilukwe.
The Advanced Management Programme (AMP) which Kazaure was involved in at LBS is for executive directors and members of executive management teams of large organisations. It is built on a curriculum comprising over 130 international and local real-life cases, and offers a holistic view of business.
