With great pleasure, the staff and management of Lagos Business School are proud to announce the promotion of Sir Chris Ogbechie to Professor of Strategic Management. Professor Chris Ogbechie’s, promotion was approved by the Governing Council of the Pan-Atlantic University, last month, February 2017.
Professor Ogbechie is head, Strategy and Entrepreneurship department, Lagos Business School and also a visiting professor at Strathmore Business School, Nairobi Kenya. He has a first-class honours degree in mechanical engineering from Manchester University, an MBA from Manchester Business School and a PhD in Business Administration from Brunel Business School in the UK. He has wide experience in marketing, strategy and corporate governance derived from his work as Head of Marketing/Sales at Nestle Nigeria and from his consulting work with Nigerian, Ghanaian and Kenyan firms over the years. Prof. Ogbechie is the founding director of First bank sustainability Centre, Lagos Business School and the current Chairman, Board of Directors, Diamond Bank Plc. He teaches strategy and corporate governance at Lagos Business School and Strathmore Business School in Nairobi, Kenya. He has also produced several publications in financial services marketing, strategic planning, corporate social responsibility and corporate governance.
