Participants in the 19th edition of the Owner Manager Programme (OMP 19) of Lagos Business School admitted being equipped to competitively position their businesses for the future at a farewell cocktail organised on their behalf yesterday.
Over 20 participants had commenced the programme in March, with the optimism that LBS would build their business decision-making processes and improve their ethical culture.
“Most of my expectations were met. I exchanged ideas with a fantastic bunch of people with whom I’ve been having business interactions already. I think, by and large, it’s been a wonderful experience,” said Oladele Babatunde, MD/CEO, TRW Consult.
His counterpart, Emeka Oguchi of the Information Technology outfit, Pointek, got involved in the programme following a friend’s recommendation. His feedback after participation was that his expectations were not only met, but surpassed. “Sometimes we assume we already have what it takes to succeed in business. But attending a programme like this has made me a much better entrepreneur, improved my decision-making and strategic processes and built a solid business network around me,” he said.
The OMP is designed for owners/managing directors of small and medium-scale organisations, and aims to equip them with the knowledge and skills to make their businesses dynamic and competitive.
