2016 President’s Dinner: Anudu Receives Award

The LBS Alumni Association, on Saturday, honoured some deserving alumni at the annual Alumni President’s Dinner held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.

Mr Charles Anudu was presented with the 2016 Distinguished Alumni Award for his work to uplift his community and the Nigerian society at large. He is a renowned entrepreneur who has been severally honoured for his stellar contributions to the Nigerian economy, having successfully launched companies in the key sectors of the Nigerian economy. Anudu is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of SWIFT Networks Ltd. He is also the founding Managing Director and Chairman of The Candel Company Limited, a major player in the Nigerian Agricultural industry.

According to the director of alumni relations, Ms Bunmi Afolabi, the Most Distinguished Alumni Award is given by the President of the Lagos Business School Alumni Association to alumni who have contributed in an outstanding way to society, and who through their actions have contributed to building businesses and communities reflective of the ideals of the School.

The overall Best Alumni Class award was also presented at the dinner and the award went to the CEP 22 class for their active participation in alumni events and the cohesiveness of the class.

Over 1000 LBS alumni, spouses and friends turned out at the dinner sponsored by Glo. The event also included an exciting raffle draw which saw lucky guests winning attractive prizes including Emirates tickets and iPhones.

The Alumni President’s Dinner is organised by the LBS Alumni Association to provide an avenue for alumni of the School to meet, renew old acquaintances and cement business ties.
