Admission Requirements

  • Five credit passes including English and Mathematics at the Ordinary Level for Anglophone applicants.


  • A minimum of a second-class lower university degree from a recognised university


  • A minimum of three year’s post-qualification work experience


  • A competitive NMAT, Essential Skills Assessment (ESA), GMAT or GRE score. NMAT cost is $75 (online & centre-based), GMAT $250 and GRE $250.

    The ESA is a ” minimum-preparation” 50-minute exam designed to test readiness for a graduate management education program. The assessment is delivered online through ProctorU in a secure, proctored environment. There is special pricing of $55 only for Lagos Business School applicants as a limited period offer. The standard price of the ESA test for all candidates applying to b schools in other parts of the world is 129 USD. A special discount of 74 USD has been procured for candidates applying to Lagos Business School only. Contact mba@lbs.edu.ng for your special discount. Required Documents and Fees

The required supporting documents and fees are as follows:

  • Supporting Documents

    • A completed online application form
    • Three reference forms to be completed within the online application by your referees
    • Copies of O’Level and university degree certificates (statements of results are acceptable)
    • Official Transcripts sent after you have been admitted (these may be sent directly by your former school)
    • Curriculum Vitae
    • Copy of the NYSC Certificate or Letter of Exemption for Nigerians only
    • English language proficiency test (TOEFL or IELTS) for non-native English speakers is strongly advised.
    • A passport photograph
  • Fees and Living Expenses

    The programme tuition for the current year is N3,481,119 per session and we run two sessions. Fees cover tuition and course materials and can be paid in three instalments at the beginning of each semester.

    Every year the Lagos Business School awards scholarships to deserving MBA candidates. Candidates who wish to avail themselves of scholarships could apply after gaining admission on our Full-Time MBA Programme

    International Students – The tuition for international students for the current year is N3,481,119 per session and we run two sessions. Lagos Business School offers a minimum of 10% tuition scholarships to international students.

    The school does not provide accommodation, but we can assist you with information on how to find suitable housing around the school. Students typically share flats with other students at a rate of N200,000 – N550,000 per person/annum. Monthly expenses after paying the rent could be as from N30,000.

Scholarships
  • Lagos Business School awards a number of scholarships every year to outstanding students with proven financial need. To apply for a scholarship, you should submit a filled scholarship application form to the MBA Admissions Office within the first week of getting an admission letter.

  • The scholarship committee meets during the second week of admission letters being sent out. Scholarship awardees are notified by the end of the same week.

  • The scholarships cover the tuition for the MBA programme. If awarded, you will be responsible for other personal expenses including housing and feeding.

  • To qualify, you must have applied and given admission into the MBA programme.
