Programme Overview

The Advanced Management Programme (AMP) challenges senior executives to broaden their worldview, sharpen their strategic thinking, and lead with authenticity and purpose.

Over five transformative months, participants will engage in immersive sessions in Lagos and Barcelona, combining strategic insight, people leadership, and innovation-driven learning. With access to a global peer network and the international module at IESE Business School, the AMP provides a world-class experience that goes beyond management. By the end of the journey, participants are prepared to lead confidently through uncertainty, uncover new opportunities, and inspire performance at every level.

Delivered one week (per month) over five months, the Advanced Management Programme combines classroom learning, peer collaboration, and international exposure to help senior executives strengthen their leadership and strategic capabilities.
Module 1: Authentic Leadership for Organisational Effectiveness
Focuses on people leadership, culture building, and creating high-performing teams.
Module 2: Driving Strategy and Innovation
Explores how to design, implement, and sustain winning strategies in dynamic markets.

Includes a one-week immersion at IESE Business School in Barcelona, where participants engage in global business sessions, company visits, and cross-cultural collaboration.

Capstone Project

Dr. Emmanuel Imafidon | Academic Director

Dr. Emmanuel Imafidon is a Senior Fellow at the Lagos Business School, where he facilitates learning in the Organisational Behaviour & Human Resource Management Department; his teaching and research interests straddle both areas. Prior to joining Lagos Business School, he had worked for over three decades in the education, manufacturing, and energy sectors in Nigeria. He was the Director of Human Resources & Medical at Chevron Nigeria Limited for seven years and, subsequently, the Director of Business Services for nine years in the same company, leading up to his disengagement in 2018. Prior to these two roles, he had worked in different managerial capacities in the HR function of Chevron Nigeria Limited as well as the Nigerian Tobacco Company.
Sir Chris, fondly called, will lead sessions on Implementing a Growth Strategy in an Africa-to-Africa Context and Execution Challenges in Africa. Professor Ogbechie teaches strategy, sustainability, and corporate governance at the Lagos Business School and Strathmore Business in Nairobi, Kenya; he is also the founding Director of the School’s Sustainability Centre. Professor Ogbechie has been involved with several start-ups. He was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Diamond Bank Plc and is on the board of several private and public companies, including Red Star Express Plc (FedEx), and National Salt Company of Nigeria Plc. (NASCON), Health Partners and Palton Morgan Holdings.
He is currently the Lead Faculty in charge of the LBS Management Scholars’ Academy, composed of elite research assistants who serve the school for a couple of years and then pursue fully-funded PhD programs in business studies in the US, UK, and continental Europe. Professor Otubanjo has consulted for numerous organisations, including Galaxy Backbone, First Bank Plc, FCMB Plc, Keystone Bank Plc, AXA Mansard, Alpha Morgan Capital, Sujimoto Construction, Chams Plc, Cellulant, Top Crust, Superflux, MBC Financial Services Group, Oral-B, Consolidated Discount House, among others. He is an Independent Non-Executive Director on the board of Alpha Morgan Capital Managers. He also sits on the advisory board of Axiom Learning Solutions Ltd, a foremost learning development firm in Nigeria.
