Lagos Business School Partners with French Embassy to Host Inaugural France–Nigeria Business & Human Capital Development Forum

Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University (LBS), in partnership with the Ambassade de France au Nigéria, will host the inaugural France–Nigeria Business & Human Capital Development Forum on June 24, 2026, at its campus in Ajah, Lagos.

Under the theme “Strengthening France–Nigeria Partnerships Through Business, Innovation, Human Capital and Executive Education,” the forum will convene policymakers, business leaders, academics, and development partners to deepen institutional and economic ties between both countries.

The platform aims to foster cross-border collaboration, drive innovation, and build human capital aligned with the demands of African and global markets. His Excellency Marc Fonbaustier will attend as Special Guest of Honour, with the event hosted by the Dean of Lagos Business School, Professor Olayinka David-West.

Speaking ahead of the forum, Professor David-West said: “Sustainable development depends on strong talent, agile leadership, and effective collaboration. By combining Lagos Business School’s institutional expertise with the French Embassy’s networks, we are building an ecosystem that supports innovation, knowledge sharing, and economic resilience.”

Scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the forum will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, and strategic networking sessions focused on four priority areas:

  • Agribusiness Value Chains: Building resilient and inclusive agri-food systems through innovation and partnerships
  • Emerging Technology Partnerships: Advancing digital transformation and ecosystem collaboration
  • Academic Exchange & Student Mobility: Expanding joint learning and cross-cultural opportunities
  • Capacity Building & Executive Education: Strengthening leadership through executive programmes and research

The forum will bring together representatives from the French Embassy, French corporates operating in Nigeria, and development institutions including AFD, Proparco, and Expertise France. These stakeholders will engage with LBS faculty, researchers, and industry leaders across agribusiness, financial services, and technology.

Expected outcomes include the establishment of a sustained France–Nigeria collaboration platform, the development of joint executive education programmes, expanded academic exchange, and a strategic roadmap for long-term economic cooperation.
