LBS Alumni Association Elects New Leadership for the 2026–2028 Term

On Saturday, 27 June 2026, the Governing Council of the Lagos Business School Alumni Association (LBSAA) convened for its biennial elections, marking an important milestone in the association’s leadership transition.

In accordance with the LBSAA’s established governance structure, elections were held for the positions of Vice-President and Secretary. The outgoing Vice-President, in keeping with tradition, was elevated to the role of President, ensuring continuity in leadership. Consequently, Valentine Okelu assumed office as President.

Following a closely contested process, Wole Abu was elected Vice-President, while Chinelo Cynthia Muoneke emerged as Secretary, completing the new Executive Committee that will serve the association over the next two years.

The results were announced by the Returning Officer and Director of LBS Alumni Relations, Henry Andoh, following which a formal handover ceremony took place. In the presence of members of the Governing Council, the outgoing President, Dr Owen Omogiafo (OON), formally transferred leadership to Mr Valentine Okelu, symbolising the start of a new phase for the association.

The occasion also provided an opportunity to recognise the contributions of the outgoing Executive Committee. Comprising Dr Owen D. Omogiafo (OON), Dr Agada Apochi, Valentine Okelu, and Misan Eribo, the team concludes its tenure having strengthened alumni engagement and advanced the growth of the LBS Alumni community.

As the new leadership assumes office, it does so supported by an enduring legacy and a collective expectation to build on the progress achieved in recent years.
