Lagos Business School Launches SignalAfrica: A New Editorial Platform on African Business and Leadership

Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, has launched SignalAfrica, an editorial platform designed to surface research‑backed insights and leadership perspectives on the forces shaping Africa’s business future.

SignalAfrica brings together faculty research, practitioner perspectives, alumni insights, and applied analysis to examine how African enterprises are navigating strategy, governance, leadership, and inclusion in a rapidly changing economic environment. The platform responds to a growing need for thoughtful, evidence‑driven conversations that move beyond commentary to address the deeper institutional questions confronting African businesses.

At its core, SignalAfrica convenes rigorous, forward‑looking dialogue on the structural shifts, policy choices, and behavioural dynamics shaping Africa’s economic trajectory. It bridges global ideas with African realities, translating insight into context and theory into practice.

Its ambition is clear: to support a new generation of enterprises, not those that merely participate in the global economy, but those deliberately positioned to shape, lead, and redefine it from Africa outward.

A Shift from Individuals to Institutions

Underlying SignalAfrica is a central premise: as markets digitise, ecosystems reshape competition, and organisations outgrow their founders, enduring success increasingly depends on institutions rather than individuals, and systems rather than silos.

Across sectors and firm sizes, African leaders are confronting a defining challenge: how to build organisations capable not only of performing in the present, but of enduring beyond the tenure of their architects. African leaders are increasingly called to build organisations that are resilient, adaptive, and designed to outlast them.

SignalAfrica explores how these transitions are unfolding in practice, and what they demand of leadership, strategy, and institutional design.

What SignalAfrica Covers

Content published under SignalAfrica will include:

  • Research insights from LBS centres and initiatives, spanning sustainability, ethical leadership, family business governance, strategy, and organisational resilience
