Programme Overview

Globally, the waste management industry is transitioning from conventional approaches to more sustainable and innovative methods of managing waste. As a result, the sector is becoming increasingly lucrative and transformative in many countries. However, in Nigeria, there is a shortage of professional training programmes focused on sustainable and innovative waste management to support the growth and formalisation of the industry. This programme is designed for youths aged 18 to 40 working within the waste management sector who seek to strengthen their business and leadership capabilities. Participants will develop the skills needed to manage both the technical and business aspects of the industry, including finance, technology, and human resources. The programme also supports the transition of informal youth-led waste management enterprises into the formal economy, enhancing their reputation, scalability, and long-term growth potential.
