Dr Rose Ogbechie is a Senior Lecturer at Lagos Business School (LBS), Pan-Atlantic University, where she teaches courses in Business Ethics, Sustainability, and Leadership. She brings a unique blend of academic rigour and practical experience to the classroom, helping executives and managers navigate complex ethical and leadership challenges in today’s business environment.
Dr Ogbechie holds a PhD in Management from the Swiss Management Centre University (Switzerland), an MBA from IESE Business School (Barcelona), and an MA in Philosophy and Ethics from Strathmore University (Nairobi). Her multidisciplinary academic background underpins her expertise in ethical decision-making, responsible leadership, and sustainable business practices.
Before joining LBS, Dr Ogbechie held senior leadership roles in the private sector. She served as Managing Director of JMJ Consulting Ltd, a training and consulting firm, and as Director at Contact Marketing Services. She also spent 15 years in banking with UBA Plc, gaining firsthand experience of Nigeria’s dynamic financial sector. Additionally, she was Director of Training at the Institute of Financial Planning/First Finance and Trust Ltd, where she designed and delivered programmes for financial professionals.
Her professional journey exposed her to the ethical dilemmas and governance challenges faced by organisations, inspiring her commitment to integrating ethics into business strategy. Today, she consults widely for SMEs, NGOs, and corporate organisations, advising on ethical leadership, sustainability, and good management practices.
Dr Ogbechie’s research interests include business ethics, sustainability, corporate governance, and women’s leadership. She explores how ethical values and human-centred leadership models drive organisational resilience and long-term success. She is particularly passionate about advancing women leaders and senior executives, mentoring them to achieve professional growth and influence.
