Olayode Agboola, PhD, is a professional with a strong background in economics, econometrics, and modelling. He is deeply interested in people, material resources, markets, money, and their management in business and government. His research, teaching, mentoring, and consulting activities focus on applying economic principles and modelling skills to support more optimal outcomes across a broad range of governance and business contexts, including family and non-family enterprises of all sizes.

He brings over 20 years of cumulative research and teaching experience, having taught across virtually all education levels. He currently facilitates sessions on critical business thinking, analysis of business problems and decision-making, and the economic environment of business at Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, Nigeria. In this role, he guides executives in generating insights for optimally navigating volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) business contexts, using an analytical and evidence-driven approach that challenges assumptions in thinking, theory, systems, operations, and outcomes.

Dr Agboola holds a PhD in Economics and has completed professional programmes across a range of related subjects at leading global institutions. His expertise spans economic analysis of business and organisational problems, research design and implementation, and decision-making for optimal outcomes. He is proficient in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, with advanced skills in analytical, statistical, and econometric tools, frameworks, and software that support research, problem-solving, and decision-making. His work focuses on producing research and insights that promote critical thinking and informed decision-making for optimal outcomes within and beyond formal organisations. His research spans the application of economic principles across a broad range of topics. He has designed and contributed to multi-stakeholder research and advisory projects across diverse sectors in Nigeria, including education, enterprise, humanitarian services, and public policy. He has also published in many high-impact journals.

Prior to his current role, Olayode served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research (NISER) and at Lagos Business School (LBS), Pan-Atlantic University (PAU). He also serves as the founder and CEO of ACEIT Economic Solutions Ltd, a research and advisory firm dedicated to delivering evidence-based insights to public, private, and development sector clients. Additionally, he is the founder of Humanomics NG, an emerging social enterprise that promotes economic literacy, fosters youth entrepreneurial orientation, and develops community enterprises.
