LBS Ranks Top in Africa for Executive Education

Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, continues to set the pace in Africa, securing coveted spots in the top 50 globally in the recently released Financial Times (FT) 2025 rankings. The rankings, which were published on June 1, placed LBS 47th for custom programmes and 49th for open enrollment programmes. Among the African schools ranked, LBS shines as the leader in custom executive education and is a strong contender in open enrollment.

The FT rankings are highly selective, requiring participating schools to submit comprehensive data and participant evaluations. Additionally, all ranked business schools must hold accreditation from either AACSB or EQUIS.

Custom executive education programmes are tailor-made courses designed to meet an organisation’s specific needs, requiring a minimum of ten participants for ranking consideration. In contrast, open enrollment programmes are general management courses focused on a particular subject matter, open to all, and must be at least three days long to qualify for the FT ranking.

Professor Olayinka David-West, Dean of LBS, expressed her enthusiasm: “Being featured in competitive rankings like the FT is a testament to our commitment to being a world-class institution in our vibrant emerging market. Each of us plays a vital role in this success story.”

LBS has been consistently featured in the FT Executive Education rankings since 2007. The school also distinguished itself by ranking second highest in expansion and repeat business among the top three emerging market schools, alongside IAE Business School in Argentina and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
