Lagos Business School (LBS) recently hosted a delegation from Dangote Business School (DBS), Bayero University, Kano, on a learning mission focused on institutional development. The visit, which took place from August 5 to 7, aligns with LBS’s strategic initiative to mentor and collaborate with institutions seeking support to develop responsible leaders for Africa.
Led by DBS Dean, Professor Garba Bala Bello, the delegation engaged with LBS faculty and leadership to better understand the school’s approach to curriculum design, executive education, research, and alumni engagement.
In her opening remarks, LBS Dean Professor Olayinka David-West highlighted the school’s commitment to partnering with other institutions to advance Africa’s growth. She shared the LBS story, emphasising how the school’s core values and Christian-based mission are at the heart of its operations.
Professor Garba Bala Bello expressed his team’s appreciation for the LBS management’s willingness to share their expertise. “We are confident in Lagos Business School and the quality of leadership and management of the institution,” he said. “The team has demonstrated a spirit of teamwork, collaboration, and respect, which we have experienced from the gate. We have seen responsible management in action. Keep up the good work.”
The learning mission included a tour of the LBS campus and discussions with faculty and leadership on key topics such as the case study methodology, sustainability strategies, and ethical business education. The DBS delegation also received an in-depth overview of the LBS executive programmes.
LBS looks forward to building on this successful visit and exploring further opportunities for collaboration, reinforcing a shared commitment to excellence in business education across Nigeria.
