Lagos Business School (LBS) is proud to announce that two of its outstanding faculty members, Okechukwu Amah and Franklin Ngwu, have been promoted to the esteemed rank of Professor. Their promotions are part of a total of six recently approved by the Pan-Atlantic University Governing Council.
“These promotions recognise exceptional scholarly contributions, educational leadership, and dedication to our community—cornerstones of LBS’s global reputation for excellence. Both colleagues embody the intellectual rigour and real-world impact that define our mission,” says Professor Olayinka David-West, LBS dean. “Attaining the rank of Professor is a milestone reserved for scholars who demonstrate sustained excellence and leadership. Okechukwu and Franklin have met and exceeded these standards, enriching our intellectual community and amplifying LBS’s global impact.”
We are particularly proud to highlight the achievements of our newest professors. Okechukwu Amah, Professor of Organisational Behaviour, is renowned for his work on leadership development, employee well-being, work-life balance, diversity, and inclusion. His research offers actionable insights for building resilient, ethical organisations. He earns consistent acclaim as an educator for his dynamic, transformative teaching across our degree and executive programmes. Okechukwu further strengthens LBS by designing innovative leadership curricula, advancing faculty development initiatives in research, and fostering industry partnerships through custom executive education programmes.
Similarly, Franklin Ngwu, a professor of strategic management, conducts research in strategic management, focusing on emerging markets strategy, corporate governance, and sustainable business transformation, bridging academic theory and practice. His influential publications reshape how leaders navigate complex global challenges. Franklin inspires MBA and executive students in the classroom with his insightful, challenge-driven approach. Beyond research and teaching, he actively contributes to the School’s Public Sector Initiative and thought leadership in public policy forums.
In addition to Professors Okechukwu Amah and Franklin Ngwu from Lagos Business School, the newly promoted professors across Pan-Atlantic University include Professor Nelson Okorie from the School of Media and Communication, Professor Olusegun Vincent from the School of Management and Social Sciences, Professor Norbert Edomah from the School of Science and Technology, and Professor Oluwasola Oni from the School of Management and Social Sciences.
