On Friday, December 12, 2025, the Pan-Atlantic University community gathered for our annual end-of-year Christmas Party, a lively celebration marking the close of a successful year. Tagged “The PAU Christmas Owambe,” the event was filled with joy, gratitude, and well-deserved recognition, reflecting the strong sense of community that defines our institution.
Kicking Off with Thanksgiving and Song
The day began with a Thanksgiving Mass at the Honeywell Auditorium, a moment of prayer and reflection on the year’s blessings. This was followed by Christmas carols and engaging staff performances, setting a warm and festive tone for the celebration.
Honouring Decades of Service
A major highlight of the day was the Long Service Awards, recognising staff members for their dedication. The ceremony reached its peak as our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Enase Okonedo, was celebrated for 30 years of outstanding service, including her impactful tenure as Dean of Lagos Business School. Her leadership continues to inspire excellence across our community.
A Spectacle of Culture and Style
The party transitioned into a vibrant Owambe celebration, with colleagues embracing the dress code of Ankara or Adire palazzo pants paired with crisp white shirts. The venue came alive with music, dancing, and a feast of delicious food. It was an opportunity for fellowship and shared joy.
Looking Ahead
The success of this year’s Christmas Owambe reflects the talent, spirit, and commitment of our staff. Thank you for your enthusiasm and dedication. We wish you a restful holiday and look forward to building on this momentum in the New Year!
