Why LBS?: In Conversation with EMBA 24 Candidates

In July 2018, Lagos Business School (LBS) was listed among the top 50 global business schools by The Economist magazine’s Executive MBA ranking. LBS was not just the only business school in Africa to feature on the prestigious list, it was also ranked third position in the world for percentage increase in its EMBA students’ salaries upon graduation.

Following from this global recognition, LBS welcomed 76 candidates on its EMBA programme in January 2019. A vibrant group of managers from finance, oil and gas, Real Estate, and e-Commerce industries, the EMBA 24 participants approached their first day in class with an unparalleled willingness to learn and an enthusiasm to be inducted into the LBS community.

I chose Lagos Business School because of its track record in management education and the testimonials I have received from friends and colleagues across industries. Coming here is a game changer for me as I know that they are number 1 in Africa and among the top 50 in the world. Sometime in June 2018, I met with His Excellency, the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo who advised me about making game changing decisions in my career and mentioned LBS and Harvard.
