MEMBA 5 graduates praise Lagos Business School for its quality MBA offering

Participants on the Modular Executive MBA 5 programme have heaped praises on Lagos Business School (LBS) for the top-level quality of its MBA offering. The participants shared their thoughts at the cocktail and award-giving ceremony organised by the School to celebrate the successful completion of the programme.

LBS’ Modular Executive MBA (MEMBA) is a two-year intensive programme designed for busy professionals, hence the participants’ excitement about their ability to successfully complete what most of them describe as a rigorous but rewarding educational exercise.

Management and technology consultant, Taopheek Babayeju said he had set his sights on LBS for about five years after receiving testimonies from friends who had attended various programmes at the School. Describing his decision to take the MEMBA programme as the best in his life; Babayeju said, “LBS has helped me reinforce the need to make ethics the niche of my business and personality and has given me a global network as I have met people from all over the world despite studying here in Nigeria, summarily, LBS has become a very important part of my career”

A group of 32 participants from diverse cultures; the MEMBA 5 class is not only the first Modular Executive class with the highest number of international students but one that LBS faculty and staff are particularly fond of.

Expressing his joy at seeing the class graduate, LBS MBA Director, Dr Uchenna Uzo said, “I deeply appreciate every member of the MEMBA 5 class. This is one class that consists of bright, young and articulate individuals, who are eager to give feedback. Thanks to this feedback, we have been able to implement a lot more in our programmes, so we say thank you.”

Class President, MEMBA 5 and Risk Manager, Standard Chartered Bank, Bartholomew Eluma said, “At the beginning of this programme, we had to do a lot of overhauling of our lives by giving up bad habits to help us meet up with the School’s expectations, but it was good exercise for everyone as we realised over time, that leaders are not born, they are made. I have done a number of MBAs in other Schools and truly, this is the best in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa.”

At the ceremony, awards were presented to participants who exhibited exceptional character in categories such as Corporate Social Responsibility, Integrity, Mutual Respect and more.

LBS Director of Finance and Admin, Mr Charles Ivenso, who represented the Dean, encouraged the MEMBA 5 graduands to take on bigger challenges and grow their careers. He said, “You are going away prepared to challenge the world and be ambassadors for LBS, the class you represent and yourself. Our doors are always open and we want to walk this journey with you and ensure that you succeed.”

The ceremony was attended by participants on the MEMBA 6 and MBA 17 programmes, all who were elated to celebrate with the graduating class.
