LBS faculty, Dr Ifedapo Adeleye, has joined his local and international counterparts to produce a compendium on international business tagged: ‘The Changing Dynamics of International Business in Africa’.
Part of the AIB Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) Series, the 320-page book highlights the increase in the influence of emerging multinationals which is redefining business in Africa, prompting discussions on the decline of the West on the continent.
Edited by Dr Adeleye, Kevin Ibeh, Abel Kinoti and Lyal White, the book also offers multi-disciplinary insights on the challenges and opportunities associated with doing business in Africa against the backdrop of the fight for market dominance among Western, BRIC and African multinationals.
Adeleye, a senior lecturer in Strategy and Human Resources at LBS, consistently drives projects of this nature, projecting LBS as a bastion of sound knowledge. Last year, his case study co-authored with Dr Chris Ogbechie and doctoral candidate Nkemdilim Iheanachor bagged an award at the Academy of International Business (AIB) conference in Nairobi, Kenya. He also contributed to the Routledge Companion to Business in Africa, a comprehensive reference resource that showcases Africa from a business perspective.
