Lagos Business School Faculty, Nkem Iheanachor appointed Treasurer of AIB SSA

Lagos Business School (LBS) faculty, Nkemdilim Iheanachor has been appointed as the Treasurer of the sub-Saharan Africa chapter of the Academy of International Business (AIB).

The AIB is the leading association of scholars and specialists in the field of international business; the sub-Saharan Africa’s membership is drawn from different countries cutting across researchers, consultants, NGOs and government agencies. 

Iheanachor, who teaches Strategy and International Business at LBS, will be chairing the Treasury and Finance Committee of AIB. His responsibilities will include the financial management and planning of the Chapter in line with the goals and objectives of the Academy, one of which is providing members of African descent or with African interests the opportunities for the exchange of ideas, presentation of research, for professional contacts, and for discussion of matters of mutual interest.

Expressing the importance of the new role to his work at Lagos Business School, Iheanachor said, “I will further strengthen ties the School has with several other leading business schools, top scholars and international organisations whose focus is on deepening Africa-to-Africa co-operation, ties, research and scholarship”.

“This is important in helping to further LBS’s Internationalisation efforts, increase the school’s prominence among other top business schools and also position the school as a leading voice in international business with focus on Africa”, he added.

Iheanchor’s role as Treasurer of the AIB SSA chapter comes with no financial compensation and will elapse in 2022.
