Lagos Business School alumnus to head Information Technology at Afreximbank

Lagos Business School alumnus, Olaleye Babatunde has been named Director of Information Technology at African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), a Pan-African Multilateral Financial institution that finances and promotes intra- and extra- African trade.  

Babatunde, who graduated from the Executive MBA class (EMBA 8), will be responsible for leading Afreximbank’s strategy on Information Technology in support of the Bank’s mandate and medium-term strategy. He is tasked with leading a comprehensive strategy to build, develop and standardise technology solutions throughout the Bank in direct support of its strategic priorities.

Before joining Afreximbank in 2014 as Senior Manager in the unit he now heads, Babatunde functioned as Chief Information Officer/Deputy General Manager at Stanbic IBTC Bank.

Babatunde has also participated in executive programmes in other top global business schools including the Digital Business Transformation and High-Performance Leadership programmes at IMD Switzerland and  Business Leadership programme at IESE Business School, Spain.
