Inés Alegre has a PhD in Management by IESE Business School and a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC).

She is the Director of Insights and Analytics at Shalion, a company that analyzes e-commerce data to provide insights for managerial decision-making.

She was a full-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Managerial Decision Sciences at IESE Business School – Universidad de Navarra from 2016 to 2022. Previously, she was assistant professor at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) and at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. She teaches courses related to quantitative methods and decision analysis at both, MBA level and Executive Education level. In her previous positions, she taught and coordinated courses in economics, statistics, and econometrics. In 2018, Prof. Alegre was awarded as one of the Best 40-under-40 professors by the popular MBA website Poets&Quants.

Her research has been published in highly ranked managerial journals such as Journal of Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, VOLUNTAS International Journal of Voluntary and Nonprofit Organizations, and Journal of Business Research. She has also published a book titled “Quantitative Methods for
Management: A practical approach” published by Springer in 2019 and several book chapters.
