Team Leadership Programme

Introduction

The aim of the Team Leadership programme for NLNG was to equip the team leaders with relevant knowledge, skills and competence needed to perform effectively. The programme also explored the principal theories and styles of leadership plus the roles and key functions of a team leader.

Individual behavioral patterns were explored through the administration of Belbin Self-Perception Inventory. This is a test that measures how people’s unique strengths manifest on their job and how the team leader can harness this strength to the benefit of the organisation 

Objectives
  • To produce goal-oriented team leaders who can apply leadership and management skills in motivating team members
  • To utilise and apply experiences gained through case study of real-life analysis.
  • To understand team diagnosis, leading lagging indicators and why Abilene Paradox is harmful to a team.

This programme has not only made positive impact in my career, but also in my personal life. It is an end-to-end programme. Honestly, LBS has made me want to do school over again. LBS is in the business of doing what it knows how to do best. Great school, great lecturers and great delivery!
