Programme Structure
LBS doctoral students are expected to produce work that is publishable in major international journals.
Degree: At the end of the programme, the University will award a doctoral degree in management, with specialisation in one field of management.
General Requirement: This is a full-time programme; hence students are not expected to be employed outside of Pan-African University.
Duration: Typical duration for the programme is four years, including two years of course work and two years of dissertation work.
MPhil Degree: After the first two years of course and research work a Master of Philosophy in Management (MPhil) degree will be awarded to successful candidates.
PhD Degree: A Doctor of Philosophy in Management (PhD) degree with specialisation is awarded after the completion of an additional two years of dissertation work.
