ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Application forms are available all year
round. Forms can be obtained from Pan-African
University or downloaded from our website
www.lbs.edu.ng/phd.php. Candidates for admission
into the doctoral programme must satisfy the
following requirements.
Submit a complete portfolio of documents for
evaluation.
A Masters degree (minimum CGPA of 3.0/5.0)
from a recognized University.
A good pre-admission statement of purpose
A good score in GMAT or in the
LBS-administered entrance exam.
Satisfactory performance in an oral
interview process.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
In order to graduate a candidate must satisfy the following minimum requirements:
1. Minimum number of earned credit hours: 60 credit hours
a. Research fundamental courses (21 credit hours)
b. Management basics (15 credit hours)
c. Specialization seminars (6 credit hours)
d. Master of Philosophy Thesis (6 credit hours)
e. Ph.D. Dissertation (12 credit hours)
2. Minimum number of years on course: 3 years
3. Minimum standard of academic performance: Minimum of a C in all courses.
4. Students must pass a PhD Comprehensive / Qualifying Exam
5. Students must complete and defend their MPhil Thesis before award of MPhil degree and advancement to the dissertation phase.
6. Students must complete and defend their doctoral dissertation.
FEES AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT
School fees are paid at the beginning of each year. Fees cover tuition and course materials (excluding text books) only. The fee is five hundred and fifty thousand naira (N550,000.00) per academic year.
The School provides financial support, on the basis of merit and financial need, to some of the students in the form of Research Assistantship. The support covers the tuition fees and provides a significant additional stipend to the students to cover living expenses. The financial support decision is only made after the offer of admission by the school.
ACCOMMODATION
We will not provide accommodation. However, useful information based on availability, etc. will be passed on to interested students.
