CaptionStrategic Corporate Social Responsibility
DescriptionCorporate social Responsibility refers to efforts by corporate organisations to integrate “social and environmental concerns in their business operations and in their interactions with their stakeholders on a voluntary basis, not only fulfilling legal expectations, but also going beyond compliance”.

Traditionally, business viewed the social sector as philanthropic sector, a dumping ground for spare cash, obsolete equipment, and tired executives. But today smart companies are approaching it as a learning laboratory. Now companies are viewing community needs as opportunities to develop ideas and demonstrate business technologies; find and serve new markets; and solve long-standing business problems.

The increasing integration of corporate social responsibility (CSR) into organisations is changing the skills that CSR managers require and their development needs. To be an effective CSR manager today requires not only an understanding of corporate social responsibility but also a sound understanding of business and the skills to engage with colleagues from across the organisation.

This programme has been specifically developed to meet the development needs of today's CSR manager or those who have such responsibilities in their firms.
