International CSR Conference

Theme: CSR Contributions towards Sustainable Development and Organisational Competitiveness in Nigeria

The primary and most sustainable contribution that any corporation can make to development is through carrying out its core business activities in a productive, profitable and responsible manner, building business linkages and creating other economic enhancement in host communities. It is noted however, that incorporating CSR into organisation’s business models is a challenge and organisations find it hard to implement CSR activities simultaneously with other business priorities in a balanced and motivating manner. This is especially more problematic in developing countries like Nigeria where there is limited capital, weak institutions and poor governance.

The Etisalat CSR Centre of Lagos Business School, Pan-African University is organising a two-day international CSR conference.

The objective of this year’s conference is to reinforce the message that CSR will enhance competitive advantage of corporations as well as create sustainable development in a country like Nigeria.
